Everything from Core Rat is hand made in Canada B.C. including these knee/shins.
No knee shin is as comfortable as the Core Rat Burly.  This is the only knee/shin that I will wear.
If you're sensitive to padding restricting your freedom of movement, then choose these pads.  Honestly, they feel like they are not even there!
The knee is removable from the shin with Velcro, although I'm not sure why you would separate the two.
They are worth every cent!
The new 2007 has a thicker 1/8" shin guard.
The new shin guard brings the price up a bit, but it's much more protective compared the older 1/16" thin shin.

Buy the small size (Jr) if you're 5'9" and smaller.  For some reason they label the smaller length shin a "Jr" even though they're for adults.
