The Brooklyn Machine Works Race Link frame is available in one size only. It will fit riders up to about 5"11".
Customers should call in this order or at least inform DOWN Cycles of your rider weight, race category, and ride style. The Avalanche rear shock is custom tuned for the rider.
Changes to the Race link for 2007: Longer top and down tube gussets along with thicker wall tubing has added rigidity and increased strength. The revised Race Link is as good as it will ever get.
This bike frame is a hand made masterpiece that will go down in history as the best performing suspension ever developed for down hill mountain bikes. The look of the jack shaft system may intimidate at first, but after a brief explanation, makes perfect sense.
The extra chain simply eliminates pedal feedback. A much appreciated benefit is the extra ground clearance and the always perfect shifts. A Race link complete can be built up in the mid forty lb range, making it suitable for racers and freeriders.
The Race Link frame kit comes with Profile reverse drive cranks (steel axle), a BMW designed chainguide, and a floating disc brake. The suspension links are designed to work in conjunction with a custom tuned Avalanche rear shock (with a steel spring), also included in the kit! The cranks, guide and floater all come preassembled.
The Race Link geometry is designed around 26, wheels and an 8" travel fork.
Wheelbase is adjustable with the purchase of special dropouts. Maximum rear tire size is 26"x 2.8". The built in fork stops are a nice touch. Seat post size is 29.8mm. Thompson seat posts work, unlike the BMW's, of the past.

"Every now and again you get to ride a bike you really love. A bike that you feel instantly comfortable with. One that you don't need to work on setting up. The Brooklyn [DH] is one of those bikes. It doesn't happen very often but when it does you feel as though you'll never want to part from it." - Dirt magazine
