The 2017 Strasbourg 71 Alloy Disc might be the ultimate gravel bike. When it comes to navigating dicey roads geometry is key. A mix of design cues taken from the venerable EEKLO 70, mashed with a slightly lower bottom bracket make this bike a weapon. Steering and handling can only be described as percise. The Strasbourg 71 is no lathergic dog. Have no doubt... the bike has been designed for speed and is more than capable even in a pack of roadies. Take to the woods/gravel in confidence thanks to impeccable craftmanship, exquist welds, backed by a lifetime warranty (against manufacturing defects). Certain bikes ride well, but sometimes miss the mark in one area or another. Eddy Merckx nailed the Strasbourg 71! I can't utter a single complaint and I'm a stickler when it comes to details. Why would anyone paint alloy when you can anodize? Probably to cuts costs. Merckx goes the extra mile and finishes their bikes in lightweight/durable black anodized. Good luck to the other manufacturers in gravel bike market. The Strasbourg is a tough act to follow!
