The Quake 7.8 comes built with top shelf, long lasting components and has a durable frame design.
Marin bikes use a high forward pivot suspension design and incorporate a four bar link system.
Engineers all know that the best location for a rear pivot is in the high forward location, they also know that having a pivot mounted central on a frames down tube posses some major problems.
High forward pivot designs transmit too much pedal feedback to the rider.&amp;nbsp; When pedaling the rider actually negates the suspension as the chain forces the swing arm down and forward when it wants to move the opposite.
Marin has solved this problem ingeniously by integrating a four bar link just above and behind the high forward pivot creating a virtual pivot.&amp;nbsp; 
This design solves all the issues associated with a single high forward pivot.&amp;nbsp; I'm impressed with the Marin bicycles.&amp;nbsp; The Quake bikes take the Quad Link to the extreme with loads of travel and perfect geometry.
Rarely do I ever jump on a bike and feel comfortable.&amp;nbsp; The Quake fits like a glove and the suspension dampers offer plenty of adjustment to suit any rider or ride style.Marin has truly created a do all bike with the Quake 7.8!

Superco recommends you use a 28T front chainring (Red Anodized Profile Imperial included with the purchase of this frame).
The cranks supplied are the Profile race crank in Black PC with a Hollow 6" long spindle and a Mid BB.
The crank will come installed in the frame!
You will need all the other parts to build.&amp;nbsp; It is recommended you use a 135mm spaced rear hub designed for a mountainbike casstte.&amp;nbsp;

The Khyber is a 6" travel bike with two front chainrings.&amp;nbsp; It's reasonably light and can tackle some demanding terrain.&amp;nbsp; I'm not sure if I consider this bike All Mountain.&amp;nbsp; I think it leans towards Freeride.&amp;nbsp; The Kyber be be the Killer of the old 7" travel, heavier than thou, "Freeride Bike".
